This case was taken on May 25, 2018 and is in reference to our fraud investigators locating a skimmer device on an ATM located at 1451 22nd Street in West Des Moines. In the days after locating this device, our department has received reports from other victims in relation to having their bank accounts and credit cards compromised. On Friday June 15, 2018, our Criminal Investigative Unit followed up on a lead from a local banking institution. Our investigators worked closely with our partners in the business community and found some common trends in this investigation.
